I just finished reading "Skinny Bitch" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin and I am by no means going to become a vegetarian but after reading this book I have a whole new outlook on what I put in my mouth... I have changed my eating habits and its only been 6 days but I have already lost 2 lbs and my body feels more healthy than it has in months... I am still going to enjoy my Chocolate brownies once a month and cheese pizza of course but those little desires will be limited for sure... My daily menu goes something like this:
Breakfast: Apple, Banana, Oranges, or Strawberries... Sometimes I have Peanut Butter Toast... But Mostly Fruit for breakfast everyday!
Yummy!
Snack: Vegetables
(I cut up all my veggies on Sunday, so I always have them on hand)
Lunch: Green Salad w/ 1/2 a cucumber, handful of Texas Toast Tortilla Strips and a tablespoon of Honey Mustard Dressing or Ranch... I also switch it up with either a baked potato and steamed veggies or I make me a Veggie Sandwich with Cucumbers, lettuce, Brussel Sprouts and an avocado.. I eat it on 100 calorie bread rounds... I also love to make Pepper and Cheese wraps!
Dinner: I make me a baked potato W/ steamed veggies... or Brown rice with lots of steamed peppers covered with natural butter... Or Veggie Fajitas etc.
I am by no means on a diet or a vegan, I am just trying to eat more Fruits and Vegetables everyday and be healthy and aware of what I am putting in my body... I still eat meat on occasions and I still find myself grabbing for the bag of Doritos or a Root Beer but after reading "Skinny Bitch" I am a lot more guarded as to what I put in my mouth... I highly recommend reading her book but be prepared and open to what she has to say... I do not agree on some of the things she says and I even had to skip over some chapters but I am thankful to have read it and I know my eating habits will never be the same...
